Corpus Commons is Boise’s only year-round daytime shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. It offers essential services like showers, laundry, meals, mail access, and a safe, welcoming environment. Founded in 2003 it operates entirely through local donations and volunteer support. The organization is committed to upholding dignity and community for every guest who walks through its doors.

Ride for Joy provides therapeutic horseback riding to individuals with physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges. Based in Caldwell, it serves children, adults, and veterans through adaptive riding programs that build confidence and connection. The nonprofit is powered by volunteers, grants, and community support. Its mission is to make healing through horsemanship accessible to all.

This Boise chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America supports veterans from all eras and branches of service. It provides assistance with VA benefits, peer support, and community outreach to improve the lives of local veterans. Members engage in events, legislative advocacy, and service projects that honor those who served. The organization’s core mission is to ensure no veteran is forgotten or left behind.

Dress for Success – Boise Valley empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing free professional attire, career tools, and mentoring support. Based in Meridian and serving the greater Boise area, the organization partners with local agencies to help women prepare for job interviews and new careers. Since 1998, it has helped thousands of women build confidence and take steps toward self-sufficiency. With the help of volunteers and community support, it creates a welcoming space where every woman is seen, supported, and set up for success.

Joni and Friends serves individuals and families affected by disability through year-round, faith-based outreach rooted in compassion and inclusion. Each August, their Idaho Family Retreat at Quaker Hill in McCall provides a memorable week of accessible, Christ-centered programming—blending outdoor activities, worship, and community in a peaceful camp setting. While these retreats are a cherished part of their work, they represent just one way Joni and Friends brings hope and support to the disability community. Volunteers and donors play a vital role in helping extend this mission both at camp and throughout the year.
